Tiny House Envy

Scandi Cabin : Asheville, North Carolina

Featured on Design Network Tiny BnB, this new cabin is a nature lover’s haven. Revel in the warmth of a wood-burning stove on a cozy open-air porch. Enjoy a private hot tub, patio with fire pit, babbling creek, mountain views, nearby hiking trails and yard with games. Only 7 miles to downtown. This tiny house is pet-friendly!

As the tiny house movement has built more momentum, we’ve seen them popping up everywhere. Lately one of the most exciting collaborations has been between the tiny house and the short-term rental market. We all love a good Airbnb or VRBO but now we have the option of living out our tiny house dream even if it’s just for a weekend. This new series of Envy will feature these tiny house/vacation rental love children. We hope you like it!

What does Mae want you to know about herself?

We are passionate about hosting! We provide all the fine details and luxuries we would want on vacation so that guests can relax and feel restored when returning home. As an Appalachian native, I share local information with guests about the best restaurants, trails, events and scenes in Asheville. We also live in downtown Asheville, so we have a quick response rate should guests encounter any problems. My husband and I recently designed and built these cabins using our love of tiny homes, and the Scandinavian modern aesthetic. We also design home goods that represent the “cabin look.” Search Modcabins Asheville to learn more. We look forward to being your Asheville host!

What are the accommodations like?

Curl up with a good book in the cozy window nook. Climb the ladder to the loft to enjoy your favorite TV show or a movie on the plush sofa. Enjoy cooking in a fully stocked kitchen with a hip Smeg fridge. The cabin’s high speed WiFi allows guests to stay connected to work or school while enjoying a mountain getaway. This modern cabin has large windows that flood the space with light. The window locations were designed so that no neighbors are situated to see directly into the house. Window coverings are provided in the bedroom window to give privacy.

What do others have to say about their experience?

“The dreamiest of stays for the July 4th holiday. We stayed here for a few nights and got to enjoy some peaceful moments. Got some awesome recommendations in a booklet our host had in the space and went to a lot of their recommended hiking trails. Lots of nature sounds, wonderful amenities (definitely suggest doing s’mores and using the hot tub). Bed was super comfortable. 20 min drive to downtown Asheville if you want to experience the downtown city shopping and restaurants.” Genells
