As the tiny house movement has built more momentum, we’ve seen them popping up everywhere. Lately one of the most exciting collaborations has been between the tiny house and the short-term rental market. We all love a good Airbnb or VRBO but now we have the option of living out our tiny house dream even if it’s just for a weekend. What does Lamar want you to know about his rental home?
“We are an organic, grass-fed, raw milk dairy farm with an on-site farm store.” The Wadel’s are pround of their commitment to bring their neighbors organic, pasture raised meat, eggs and cheese. This is a working farm and you are welcome to explore.
What are the accommodations like?
This double loft tiny home is rustic, minimalistic and charming. The experience of sleeping in a cozy loft is one of the best parts of staying in a tiny house. The kitchen is small but functional with the essentials like a hot plate, toaster and of course a coffe maker. The small living room sofa invites snuggle time. The large deck is where it’s at though. Sit and talk with your loved ones or meditate on the beauty of nature.
What do others have to say about their experience?
“The tiny house was exactly as pictured. We really enjoyed sitting out on the porch and staring and the beautiful surroundings. There is another house and shed on the opposite side of the house, but with the wooden wall in the side of the patio, and the house being set back in the field, you have plenty of space to feel private.
Check in and out was easy, the family was super sweet and said hi as we arrived, told us some tips about the heaters, but the rest of the visit we didn’t see anyone.
The tiny house itself was adorable. Although the couch isn’t comfortable, and beds feel like foam camper mattresses, but the fixtures and little touches in the house are adorable. There were plenty of kitchen cooking accessories, towels, blankets, and pillows.
We loved it for a little getaway. We went for a walk around the farm, visited the little store for some honey and cheese, and enjoyed hours of talking sitting outside (despite the cold!). It was a great getaway!” Katie
